Abstract
This paper clarifies the proper place of the static whole, block universe, and “external finger” model within Jia Baolong Researchable Ontology (JBLRO). Its central conclusion is that they are not peer ontologies outside JBLRO; they are models already classifiable within JBLRO.
If a static whole $B$ merely encodes all states, relations, or histories in full, without any actual traversal, it belongs to the Platonic Crystal:
If a “finger” $F$ truly moves, selects, or updates along $B$, then the enlarged system containing $F$ is no longer a purely static whole:
In that case $B$ can serve as a static state space, relational graph, or description of a complete trajectory, while $F$ returns ActualStep, local access, and update to the domain of actual generation. If $F$ itself needs another executor, the ontological boundary keeps expanding until actual occurrence is included in total reality, or one admits that nothing occurs at all.
The static whole is thus absorbed rather than simply refuted. Without an actual finger, it is a form in the Platonic Crystal. With an actual finger, it is a component of a dynamic model that the PR–ER–LE–RULE research architecture can analyse. It cannot be a third answer that bypasses the gap between static encoding and actual occurrence, the Actuality Gap.
The strength of this conclusion is deliberately limited. Standard logic permits a static actualist to postulate $\operatorname{Actual}(B)$ directly; JBLRO cannot prohibit this label through a contradiction without premises. What it establishes is that, if this label produces no actual difference, it adds no explanatory content; if it produces actual difference, it already entails ActualStep. The dispute therefore rests on public criteria of actual existence and explanatory responsibility.
1. The comparison that must be corrected
Putting JBLRO, the static block universe, and an external-finger model side by side as the “top three ontologies” creates a category error, as though all three answered the same level of question and none contained another.
JBLRO is not merely one cosmological picture. It is an ontological classification and a research architecture for generation. It distinguishes at least:
Undefined: the absolute boundary of zero positive ontological determination;- the Platonic Crystal: every statically describable form, structure, and complete history;
- the actual generative domain: real processes with
ActualStep, continuing update, local relations, and concrete rules of generation.
A static whole already falls into the second category. Add a genuinely moving finger to it and the model enters the problem-space of the third. The correct relation is therefore not

2. Four definitions
2.1 Static whole
Let $B$ be a formal structure given completely at once. It may contain:
- every state $s_0,s_1,s_2,\ldots$;
- temporal, causal, or adjacency relations among states;
- one complete history, or even all possible histories;
- static descriptions of observers, memory, and “the present.”
So long as the completeness of $B$ requires no relation to be actually enacted, $B$ remains a static whole. Arrows written inside a structure do not mean that the arrows are occurring.
2.2 External finger
The “finger” $F$ is a hypothesized mechanism that makes some state current, advances along a sequence, selects a branch, or executes an update. It need not be a physical finger. A clock, read head, executor, observer, or selector that performs the function “make a static relation actually occur” belongs to the same abstract model.
2.3 Model boundary
The boundary of a model decides what counts as internal to the system to be explained and what is provisionally placed outside it. If $F$ has an actual effect on $B$, while the theory calls only $B$ “the universe,” it has hidden ActualStep outside the boundary. A final ontology must expand the boundary to total reality:
2.4 Internal model
An “internal model” does not mean the model automatically satisfies every JBLRO theorem. It means that its ontological components and explanatory gaps can be expressed through JBLRO’s existing layers; it does not require a new parallel ultimate category of being.
3. Exhaustive classification of the external finger
For a static whole $B$ and a finger $F$, there are only three possibilities concerning actuality.
Case A: the finger does not actually move
If $F$ is merely another static object in the structure, or if “movement” is only a prewritten set of correspondences, then:

As a whole it belongs to the Platonic Crystal. The finger-image contributes no additional actuality.
Case B: the finger actually moves
If $F$ truly makes some result shift from not-yet-actual to actual, then at least one actual beat exists:
The total system $\Omega$ is therefore dynamic. A “static universe plus external finger” merely puts the static representation $B$ and dynamic execution $F$ on opposite sides of a model boundary. It does not establish a third paradigm that is both absolutely static and actually occurring.
Case C: the finger is driven by another finger
If the motion of $F_0$ depends on $F_1$, and $F_1$ on $F_2$, then:
Every added executor moves the bearer of actuality one step beyond the model boundary. After total reality is expanded, classification still has only two endpoints:
- some layer truly has
ActualStep, so the total system is a dynamic generative domain; - no layer truly has
ActualStep, so the entire chain is static encoding.
Regressing executors does not produce a third ontological category.
4. The absorption proposition
The conclusion can be stated as a model-classification proposition.

Let $M=(B,F)$ be a model representing a history $H$ through a static whole $B$ and an optional traverser $F$. Include in total reality $\Omega$ every condition contributing to $F$’s actual running. Then:
Hence $M$ cannot constitute a peer ultimate proposal outside JBLRO merely by combining a static whole and a finger. It is either a member of the static formal domain, or it contains a dynamic component that must be further explained by a theory of actual generation.
The completeness of this proposition comes from the binary distinction of whether the finger actually moves and from closure of the model boundary, not from an enumeration of all physically possible universes.
5. How the model enters PR–ER–LE–RULE
Once the external-finger model is placed back within JBLRO, its components acquire clear positions.

This mapping states precisely what it means for the model to be “in the system.” JBLRO need not deny the modelling value of state spaces, static trajectories, or finger-style traversal; it places them separately at the layers of form, relation, local evaluation, rule, and actuality.
The reverse inference is invalid. A moving finger does not automatically prove PR. PR’s minimal normal form still requires publicly stated conditions: self-sufficiency, persistence, result re-entry, minimality, total definition, determinism, label symmetry, and lack of fixed points. The finger model first establishes only that ActualStep has not been eliminated by the static whole. Whether it further converges on PR depends on these conditions.
6. Why it is not a peer competitor
To compete with JBLRO at the root task, a theory must at least:
- explain actual occurrence rather than merely encoding a complete history;
- avoid outsourcing
ActualStepto an unexplained executor; - remain self-sufficient once total reality is closed;
- provide a minimal structure of continuing update;
- explain entry into relations, locality, rules, and upward emergence research.
A purely static whole fails the first task, so it answers “which histories can be completely represented?” rather than “why is there actual occurrence?” An actual-finger model acknowledges the first task but returns the second through fourth. It may be a formulation, projection, local implementation, or object of analysis within JBLRO, but it does not give a root answer that needs no JBLRO classification.
More precisely:
“Lower layer” does not disparage the mathematical value of static structure. It refuses only to promote the layer of representation directly into the layer of actual occurrence.
7. Observational equivalence is not ontological equivalence
A dynamic internal model $D$ and an external-finger model $S$ may yield the same records to a finite observer:
Thus internal experiments may not decide from finite data alone whether ActualStep lies inside the system or at a model boundary. This is a real limit of empirical discrimination, not something language can erase.
But observational equivalence says only that two representations have not been distinguished in observable records. It does not show that they are equally self-sufficient as total explanations. If $S$ depends on an actual finger, a final model must include that finger in $\Omega$, and dynamics reappear. If $S$ has no actual finger, no observation event occurs at all.
JBLRO therefore proposes first an ontological closure test, not the claim that it has already designed a physical experiment capable of separating every observationally equivalent model.
8. The real disagreement with static actualism
A static actualist may directly declare
to be a primitive fact that needs no movement, update, or event. Standard logic does not make this sentence automatically contradictory. JBLRO’s argument should therefore not be exaggerated into “pure logic has proved every static actualism impossible.”
The real disagreement concerns what explanatory work the word “actual” performs.
If $\operatorname{Actual}(B)$ produces no actual difference and causes no judgment, record, or result to occur, it merely adds a consequence-free label to a static structure. It has not crossed:
If $\operatorname{Actual}(B)$ really makes judgments, experience, records, or differences occur, the model already admits some ActualStep. The remaining question is only where it is placed, how it continues, and whether it is self-sufficient.
JBLRO therefore adopts the explicit framework criterion:
This is not a dictionary definition in neutral logic; it is an ontological criterion for the research task “how is actual occurrence possible?” Its advantage is that the disagreement becomes locatable: an opponent must explicitly choose either a consequence-free static actuality label or a third mechanism that produces actual consequences without containing any ActualStep.
9. What this clarification resolves, and what remains open
Classification questions resolved
- A static whole belongs to the Platonic Crystal, not to an unknown paradigm outside JBLRO’s classification.
- If an external finger actually moves, the expanded total system belongs to the problem of dynamic actuality.
- If an external finger does not move, nothing exceeds static encoding.
- An infinite chain of executors only moves the model boundary; it creates no new ontological category.
- Therefore static-whole and finger models should no longer be listed as root competitors at JBLRO’s level.
Theoretical questions still open
- Whether total reality satisfies all model conditions required by PR’s minimal normal form;
- how ER and LE jointly form from, or are strictly derived from, the First Actual Face;
- which concrete RULEs can stably generate records, persistent local structures, and proto-matter;
- which empirical results can distinguish JBLRO from observationally equivalent alternative representations;
- how the cross-level bridge from PR–ER–LE–RULE to life and consciousness can be proven more strongly.
The internal placement of the static whole removes a pseudo-competitive relation; it does not replace the generative research JBLRO must still complete.
Conclusion
A static whole is not another universe that JBLRO must defeat from outside. It already has a clear place within the system: as a complete form, state library, or history-encoding it belongs to the Platonic Crystal; as a structure traversed by a real finger, it and the finger jointly constitute an enlarged dynamic system containing ActualStep.
The external-finger model has an unavoidable three-way result: if the finger does not move, there is only static form; if it truly moves, total reality is dynamic; if it is moved by another finger, the model boundary expands again. Once every actual condition is included in total reality, the answer still falls only into the domain of static form or the domain of actual generation.
Thus the static whole is not a second ultimate ontology parallel to JBLRO. It is a formal-layer model in JBLRO, while “static whole plus actual finger” is a dynamic model that JBLRO can continue to investigate in layers through ActualStep, PR, ER, LE, and RULE. JBLRO does not simply negate it; it absorbs it, places it, and traces its explanatory responsibility.
